What to Expect from the Ford F-150 Lightning Truck?

There’s no getting around it. The star of the F-150 Lightning’s show is its powerful all-electric powertrain. The new model offers two robust EV motors. With the standard battery option, you’ll enjoy up to 452 horsepower and 775 pounds-feet of torque with a 240-mile driving range. The extended battery option, meanwhile, offers 580 horsepower, 775 pounds-feet of torque, and a maximum full-charge driving range of up to 320 miles.

The best part? Top-notch EV performance is just the start of everything the Ford F-150 Lightning has to offer. The new model also offers a robust media suite, 115-volt outlets to help you use power tools on the go, and a sturdy aluminum chassis that’s built to handle anything.

TOW OR HAUL WITH CONFIDENCE

Introducing an industry first, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist^TM automatically controls steering, throttle and brake inputs to make hitching trailers easier. Pro Trailer Hitch Assist is standard on the Tow Technology Package, which is available on Pro, XLT and Lariat trims and standard on certain Lariat trims and the Platinum trim.

TOW TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE

Got a bigger boat? Extra-sized camper? Hauling a backhoe to the jobsite? This amped-up package is for you. Includes Pro Trailer Assist, Trailer Brake Controller, Smart Hitch, On-Board Scales, Smart Trailer Tow Connection and Trailer Reverse Guidance.

BACKUP ASSIST

Backing up is now as easy as turning a knob. Just enter a few measurements into the system. The camera tracks the trailer while you back up and guide it. Rotate the knob left or right in the direction you want the trailer to go while the system controls the steering wheel.

TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER

Automatically applies the trailer brakes when you press yours. Manually adjust and control the amount of power sent to the trailer brakes with the TBC controller mounted on your center console.

SMART HITCH

It measures the tongue weight of the trailer through the connection process. Calculating the appropriate weight, it guides weight distribution onscreen with the FordPass App or on your SYNC screen.

ONBOARD SCALES

Load information is displayed in the center touchscreen, on a mobile phone through the FordPass App or in graphics within the truck’s smart taillamps. This way you know what you’re carrying doesn’t exceed the recommended weight capacity.
